A Little Package Just For You

Hey you:)

So much has been happening on the other side of the world. Caught up with me yet? If not, we're on the same boat you and I.

I'm lying in bed under a mosquito net in Indonesia, trying to recover from the monkey incident...oh, didn't know about that? That's because I haven't posted it yet, but I will soon, real soon. Looks like I've got a bit of unexpected time on my hands. The very moment the story is posted, I'll let you know.

Until then, here's a gift for you...hope you enjoy!

By the way, I know there's so much going on with you too, we've got to do a better job of staying connected. If you haven't gone already, be sure to join the new Facebook page we've set up, love to see you there!

Flowers For Dinner

This evening my dear sweet husband gave me flowers…and I ate them. He didn’t complain much.

See, we went to this edible flowers restaurant near Mae Rim, Chiang Mai. I knew I’d love the place the moment we arrived. A small tropical rainforest greets us at the entrance, to my left is a menu written on a chalkboard stand in Thai, dim lanterns hang from the rooftop. A pair of shoe prints welcome us at the foot of the steps. We walk inside.

It’s date night for Russ and I. Don’t know why I call it that, we have no real day that we plan to do something special with each other. Force of habit, I presume. Russ ran across this place in Chiang Mai Citylife, a hub for mostly expats and foreigners to find what’s new and happening in the city. This restaurant is one of it’s kind because unlike it’s fellow diner buddies, here, flowers are the main course.

Our First 100 Days...as Vagabonds!

Business on the steps.

Hey Family,

Glad to see you’re still here! It’s been a long time -- at least it feels that way.

Okay, where to begin? So much has taken place since we last blogged and we’re now about 900 days into this marriage. Can you believe it? We’re still roughing it out together. This time, literally.

We sold all our junk and moved to Southeast Asia!

The goal: To live simple lives in a foreign country with only a week’s worth of clothes, two laptops, limited funds and each other.

We’d love to keep you updated on our progress, so we’ve taken your advice and decided to blog another 100 days!

Join us at our new space at www.ourfirst100days.com

See you there in a few!
